Performance Measurement and Management Symposium
27th & 28th September
In September, The Centre for Business Performance at Cranfield School of Management and Strathclyde Institute for Operations Management at the University of Strathclyde are hosting a symposium on the future directions of performance measurement and management. The venue is the Lodge on Loch Lomand, a few feet from the water’s edge.
A dozen papers have been accepted from across the field, including theoretical perspectives and empirical research. One emerging theme has been supply chain and customer service measurement with three specific papers around this subject area; but we also have two practitioner based papers and two in-depth longitudinal case studies. The group will also get to see and discuss the first early results of the Delphi study the symposium organisers are conducting.
With participants from six different European countries, Australia and the USA, there will be a wide range of views and perspectives and the symposium will form a firm base for the special issue of Management Accounting Research later this year.
