Performance Contracting and Appraisal Management has had a tremendous impact in all sectors of development, measuring of corporate and individual performance in the civil service is now inevitable. Coordinators continue to have various challenges on how the government processes these contracts and it evaluates the performances. This congress brings together the Performance Contracting Policy Developers; Performance Management Systems Technology experts and the Performance Contracting Coordinators from Ministries/Departments and State Agencies to roundtables discussion on the milestone achieved and also seek solutions to the challenges they undergo during the day to day Performance Management, PCs implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
Netovations Kenya Technollogies, the e-Government, Performance Contracting Advocacy & Training Department and other stakeholders from both the government of Kenya, Kenyan Private Sector and Individual experts will be meeting in Naivasha specifically to discuss Performance Contracting Management in Kenya. There is need to align the Government; line Ministries with their respective parastatals (MDAs) strategic objectives during the development of strategic plans, annual reviews of targets and timelines.
As the e-Government champions the full automation of the performance contracting system, the congress has specific interest in skills and knowledge readiness of technology used from the Performance Contracting focal persons, there is need also to align institutions, Performance Contracting Secretariat, e-Government and the performance contracting software implementer for a customized performance measurement, appraisal and management tool. The congress will be the first ever to bring together the players who are making this key component tool in the Kenyan Sector Management Reform to debate and adopt best practices for performance measurement and modern service delivery to its clientele the citizens’
