There's been a recent series of postings on the perfmeas forum on Yahoo concerning the definition of 'measures', 'metrics' and 'indicatiors'.
It would be great if we could transfer this discussion to the new PMA forum.

Hi, is anyone aware of literature on the effect of expressing performance measures in monetary instead of non-monetary terms? For example, the difference in the effects of expressing resource usage as 100 man hours compared to $5,000? TIA ... Greg

Hi Alan. I don't think the perfmeas yahoo group is in any way related to the PMA - I'm pretty sure it was set up by Robert Bacal many years ago, and shut down by him a couple of years ago. That it still works is a quirk rather than by design I'm pretty sure.
If you want to recreate the thread in this forum, probably easiest way is simply to copy the thread and paste it in. Let me know if you want me to do this - it is oddly easy to do with my mail app.
