Deep into Data Analysis
Hello Friends.
Since our last posting, we've been busy sorting through data and have now begun the analysis and documentation phase for the 3rd annual Wisdom of Crowds Business Intelligence Market Study ®!
We expect to begin releasing the findings to enterprise licensees mid May and will distribute to qualified study participants during the month of June.
During Q3 we will also publish two new market reports on Cloud Business Intelligence and Collaborative Business Intelligence.

We are inviting submissions to the May 2012 edition of the PMA newsletter. The criteria for submission is listed below, but feel free to contact me if you have any queries. We look forward to receiving an increased number of contributions for this edition!.Please send in your articles, comments, news, announcements and anything else you think other PMA members would be interested to read to newsletter@performanceportal.org by 31st March 2012.
Perspectives on Performance Submission Criteria
Articles:
• Highlight the contributions of your research
• Highlight the implications and/or contributions to practice
• Where possible illustrate issues with real examples
• Where possible highlight the best practices or lessons learnt from the research.
Announcements:
• Can be announcements for conferences/workshops etc, and also for research projects, studies or calls for papers etc. Kindly Include relevant logos you want included as separate files.
Presentation:
• Article submissions should be 500 - 1,000 words and include relevant diagrams and pictures if possible.
• Please write the articles in third person
• Check the grammar and English spelling
• Avoid jargon or highly academic language.

Wisdom of Crowds TM Business Intelligence Market Study Update
Hello Folks!
We're only three weeks away from the end of data collection for the 3rd annual Wisdom of Crowds TM Business Intelligence Market Study.
Data collection will end on April 2, 2012 at 5PM ET. So, if you have not yet completed a survey, please click on this link now!
Here are some of the study demographics to date:
Geographies: To date, the study has the largest contribution from North America with 56% and EMEA contributing 26%. We are already seeing stronger participation from both Latin America and APAC this year.
Functions: As with last year, we see an almost even split between the IT and business functions. This balance will help us to compare and contrast attitudes and plans between the two groups:
Size of Company: So far this year we've had a groundswell of responses from smaller organizations, creating an interesting mix of small, medium and large companies.

As we enter our second week of data collection for the third annual Wisdom of Crowds Business Intelligence Market Study ® - I thought I might share an early insight from data collected this far.

As this chart indicates, to date, only a minority of respondents "completely agree" with the following statement: "My organization considers our Business Intelligence initiatives a success."
Here are some of the great comments that respondents shared to explain why they have or have not been successful with Business Intelligence:
